At Hill View, we view every child as unique and know that they all have individual strengths and needs. Some children require additional support or resources to be able to access their education which may indicate they have Special Educational Needs (SEN). Hill View School provide for children with a wide range of SEN which fall into four broad categories:
- Communication and interaction needs; this includes children who have speech language and communication difficulties including autistic spectrum conditions.
- Cognition and Learning needs; this includes children who have learning difficulties and specific learning difficulties like dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia.
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
- Sensory and/or Physical needs; this includes children who have visual or hearing needs, or a physical disability that affects their learning
Our special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCo) is: Emma Gould. Our assistant SENCo is Emma Jaffe.
